Hello it sounds like your looking at a 1903 or a 1903a3 springfield made by remington during ww2 it may be a ww1 rifle with a new ww2 barrel ,it should be marked on the top of the receiver and should say model of 1903 or 1903-a3,now for the next question is it in military configuration with a stock that runs almost to the end of the barrel with a upper handguard or has it been cutdown and does it look like a sporting rifle? if it looks like a sporting rifle i's proably been sporterized by someone at some time ,and values are much lower than a military version. 24 Image (s) 1903 Springfield Rifle 1514202.
